The Lipetsk SEZ is a leader in creating hi-tech modern infrastructure in Russia. Digitalization of its infrastructure is a top priority for the Lipetsk SEZ. In 2018, it commissioned the grid control center with an automatic system to control the power, heat and gas supply, sewerage, storm drainage, fire alarm, video surveillance, external lighting and condition of roads.

On 16 February 2019, Lipetsk hosted a sports competition between corporate teams. According to the tradition, employees of the Lipetsk SEZ took part in the opening ceremony and a ski race at the start of the event.

In a meeting held at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, the Lipetsk Region Administration and Honeywell’s Russian plant signed an agreement on cooperation in socially important areas. The agreement covers safety of local residents and improvements in energy efficiency of residential buildings.

Italian heating equipment manufacturer Fondital is about to launch its first production factory in Russia.

The Lipetsk Region was ranked first in the January edition of the Invest Foresight business magazine. The region has remained a leader for 5 consecutive months, a record long period.

As part of the program for cooperation between the Lipetsk SEZ and regional educational institutions, third-year students from the Federal and Municipal Department of the Russian Government Financial University visited the special economic zone.

LIPETSK, Russia, January 31, 2019 – Honeywell today officially opened its latest manufacturing facility in Russia – the third Honeywell site of its kind in the country – to increase localization and provide regional customers with faster access to locally developed, world-class industrial technologies.

In his address to the people living in the Lipetsk Region, the governor said, “The Lipetsk Region is one of the most attractive investment destinations in Russia. Every region has its points of growth. Speaking about the Lipetsk Region, they are human resources, honest and high-skilled people who make great contribution to the region’s development. We expect their active involvement.

Viessmann’s General Director summarized 20 years of work in Russia and told us about sales growth, a share in the global business and development prospects. In 2018, Viessmann celebrated its 20th anniversary of presence in Russia. The company made real progress in the past years. Its products have become widely known in Russia, and the company has confirmed its well-deserved reputation of a reliable manufacturer.

RZD Logistics made the first shipment of geosynthetics from one of the CIS major producers PRESTORUS to Vietnam. The products were delivered by road and rail to Yen Vien, a railway station near Hanoi.

Igor Artamonov claimed the Lipetsk SEZ to be one of the best in Russia. He also mentioned the problems with a number of its tenants. “We are contributing to finding a solution,” Artamonov told the media. According to him, the latest tenants are high-tech companies only. “We should form a pool of qualified professionals able to operate new equipment, which is very important for potential investors.

On 17 January 2019, a delegation of Macedonian businessmen visited the Lipetsk SEZ. The visit was part of the knowledge exchange between Macedonian and Russian businessmen and scientists.
