The Lipetsk Special Economic Zone (SEZ) announced that Dmitry Dudarev was appointed its Acting General Director.

On 10 April 2019, tenants were joined by representatives of Quality Partners, a law firm, at a business breakfast held in the Lipetsk SEZ to discuss legal cases and other matters related to license agreements.

On 2 April 2019, OBO Bettermann’s President Ulrich Bettermann told Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, about his decision to invest EUR 20 million in expansion of the company’s production facility operating in the Lipetsk SEZ. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Governor Dmitry Averov, General Director of the Lipetsk SEZ Ivan Koshelev, and heads of regional government bodies. Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, and Mr. Bettermann discussed prospects of the company’s development and reached an agreement over the expansion of OBO Bettermann’s operations in the Lipetsk Region.

Introducing New Approaches to Investor Relations at Lipetsk SEZ On 15 March, the territory of the Lipetsk SEZ turned into ‘a small Rome’. A representative delegation involving businessmen from Piedmont to Sardinia visited the investment site. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Russia Pasquale Terracciano led the delegation to learn more about the place that turned to be the “place of power” for most companies from the Apennine Peninsula.

On 21 March 2019, the Lipetsk SEZ team added golden medals to the collection of its awards won in local competitions. The darts tournament was held at the Metallurg Stadium as part of the competition between Lipetsk corporate teams.

The best students of the Lipetsk State Technical University visited the Lipetsk SEZ. Representatives of the Management Company told them about the industrial site development and career opportunities offered by the tenants. While touring round the site, the students asked about the foreign investors’ requirements for job applicants, labor conditions and opportunities to be trained abroad.

On 15 March 2019, a delegation of Italian businessmen headed by Italy’s Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano visited the Lipetsk SEZ as part of the Italian-Russian Business Forum. The delegation was also joined by Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, Vittorio Torrembini, Honorary Consulate of Italy in the Lipetsk Region, regional authorities and businessmen. The guests were presented the investment potential of the Lipetsk SEZ and took a look at its well-developed engineering infrastructure, construction in progress and operating facilities. During the visit, businessmen from Lipetsk and Italy held B2B talks and had a tour around Fondital’s production facility.
