Today at the SEZ Lipetsk Business Center, heads of 120 large enterprises and organizations, representing all sectors of the regional economy, met with the Lipetsk region governor Igor Artamonov for discussion of the results of recent work and prospects for further development.
Speaking about the solution of priority tasks, the governor, in particular, touched the topic of pandemic and the rate of vaccination against covid in the Lipetsk region. "Now our general population vaccination rate is 33.7%, i.e. 380 thousand people," Igor Artamonov said. - We all understand that as long as the disease persists, further stable operation of enterprises and overall normalization of the sanitary and epidemiological situation will depend on the collective immunity, which only immunization would provide".
He added that the Lipetsk region government neither supports an aggressive vaccination policy nor introduces compulsory vaccinations everywhere. "We very much hope for common sense and the desire of all Lipetsk residents to do without lockdowns in the future," Igor Artamonov emphasized. That is why the region is investing more and more in health care, including for the prevention of disease: 886.5 million rubles were allocated to health care in 2020, and 900.4 million - this year.
Besides, the head of the region discussed with the local business community the issues of education development, training of workers for the economy, forms of social assistance for the population, further work on improving the business climate and attracting investment. In conclusion, Igor Artamonov said that it is necessary to set goals and achieve results together as for the most urgent challenges of the day. "We support entrepreneurs, and business also should take care of the employees’ health, raise wages, increase the number of highly productive jobs, invest in social projects and make life better for the society," stressed the governor.
