The head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, spoke online about the advantages of localization in the Lipetsk region for German business.
"Businessmen from Germany trust the Lipetsk region. More than ten companies with German capital operate in the territory, including ROPA, HORSH, KWS, LANXESS, RAZIONAL, OBO Bettermann, and Viessmann. Connections with German business are important for the region, and we are ready to provide maximum support to German investors to localize their production.
Besides, we are in the center of the agricultural macro-region. It is no coincidence that a cluster of agricultural machinery, producers of seeds and plant protection products started to form here. We are sure that representatives of German companies will appreciate the advantages of cooperation with the existing enterprises".
The Lipetsk region is represented at the German-Russian Business Day by Sergey Kurbatov, deputy head of the Lipetsk region administration, Evgenia Loktionova, head of the investment department, Roman Petrukhin, general director of Special Economic Zone "Lipetsk", as well as Anna Smolyaninova, director of the Investment Development Agency of the region, and her deputy Elena Sushkova.
The main topics of discussion were the opportunities for the bilateral development of Russian and German business in digitalization, industry and agriculture despite the pandemic coronavirus. Representatives of the Lipetsk delegation told about economic and investment potential of the region, the system of preferences for residents of the special economic zone and enterprises of industrial sites.
German-Russian Economic Union is an independent organization representing the interests of medium-sized businesses of all industries and groups from Russia and Germany, and is responsible for the development and strengthening of economic relations between the two countries. Many German businessmen want to establish contacts with Russia.
The Lipetsk Region and the Federal Republic of Germany have had a stable trade, economic, investment and cultural cooperation for many years.
