Lipetsk region: the first place in the ranking of investment activity

 The rating of "Investment activity of the regions" for July 2021 was presented by the "Invest-Forsight" business-magazine. (The rating is based on reports about the investment projects launched and implemented in the Russian regions).

 Thus, Lipetsk Region is on the leading position with a large margin, having scored 183 points.

 Last month Igor Artamonov, the Lipetsk Region governor, together with Roman Petrukhin, CEO of the special economic zone "Lipetsk", and Oleg Prozorov, head of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gave the start to the construction of a bead wire production shop on the territory of "Bekaert Lipetsk". Installation of the new bead wire production line will allow the company to manufacture a full line of products for reinforcing automobile tires. The total amount of investments exceeds 1.7 billion rubles.

 At the same period, a tripartite agreement for the development of production and construction of a new foundry has been signed between the Lipetsk region administration, SEZ "Lipetsk" and the SEZ resident company FONDITAL.

 In the near future the plant will begin casting aluminum sections. This is the second and third stage of the project. The volume of investment is 741 million rubles.

 Within the framework of the international industrial exhibition Innoprom-2021, representatives of the regional administration, CEO of the special economic zone "Lipetsk" and Marco Marchese, the LLC "Anima" General Director, signed a tripartite agreement on implementation of the project of frozen pizza production. The volume of investments will amount to 120 million rubles.

 The “Lets Trade” company launched the first line for the production of food tubes made of moisture-resistant paper - biodegradable materials - a solution for the reasonable use of renewable natural resources, reducing the use of plastic in favor of environmentally friendly materials. The cost of the project – 124 mln rubles.

 In addition, in the beginning of 2021 the “Lebedianmoloko” invested more than 200 million rubles in production modernization. The funds were invested primarily in purchasing equipment from Trepko S.A., a global manufacturer of packaging machines for the food industry, and equipment from Alfa Laval Group, a Swedish manufacturer of heat-exchange, separation and flow-conducting equipment for various industries.

 The results of the competition commission for selecting projects for the “Agro-startup Grant” were summed up. Twenty-six applicants from 14 districts became Agro-startup Grant recipients. Depending on the project cost, they will receive from 1.2 to 3 million rubles.

The whole administration team strives to raise federal funding for the implementation of important infrastructure projects. For example, the Russian government will spend 155 million rubles on the construction of the Lipetsk industrial zone bypass, redirecting in this way the traffic flow outside the city and connecting the airport with the industrial area.
