Representatives of the Chechen Republic visited Special Economic Zone "Lipetsk"

Colleagues from the Chechen Republic visited SEZ Lipetsk with the purpose to adopt the best practices.

"Lipetsk region has a rich experience in implementing investment projects in industry and agriculture. Obviously, the key priorities of socio-economic development is to increase investment attractiveness, support effective projects for the production of competitive goods, provide the transition to innovative development, improving the mechanism for the formation of investment infrastructure. The result of this work is the creation of different sites, including such as the special industrial economic zone "Lipetsk", which is one of the top three SEZs in the Russian Federation", said the Minister of Industry and Energy of the Chechen Republic Rustam Shaptukaev in a letter to the Deputy Governor of the Lipetsk region Sergey Kurbatov.

The decision to create the Grozny special economic zone was made by the Russian government at the end of 2019. In July 2022, the first resident company, producing generator vacuum circuit breakers, was registered here.

"SEZ "Grozny" is just starting its work and is preparing for large-scale development of industrial and processing industries. We have exchanged contacts and agreed to support our colleagues when required. Special Economic Zone "Lipetsk" for 16 years of activity has gained a significant experience and knowledge. We are still growing, learning, developing, but we can already afford to share the experience and practice, " said the director of the Investment Development Agency of the Lipetsk region Alexander Bazaev.

As of today the volume of declared investments in SEZ "Lipetsk" is more than 220 billion rubles, the assimilated funds exceed 88 billion rubles. The volume of produced goods makes over 225 billion rubles; about 5 thousand jobs have been created.
