LLC “UNIONSPED” signed an agreement with the administration of the Lipetsk region. The company is implementing an investment project for the production of timber, joinery and pellets. On a 5 hectares land plot in two stages there will be implemented a plant construction with a total area of 2,000 sq. m. The first stage commissioning is scheduled for the January 2022, the second stage is planned to be completed by the end of 2023. The scope of investment in the project is 200 million rubles. By the moment, the company have already arranged agreements with partners and key equipment suppliers. Also it aims to sell finished products on the European market, exporting timber, laminated veneer lumber, joinery and pellets to the European DIY chains as the main buyers of the products. Besides, partnership with the logistics company UNIONSPED SrL, which supplies goods from Italy to the DYI network in Russia, will make it possible to reduce the transportation cost to Europe by making pendulum routes with a return loaded run and to deliver timber to customers just in time, using the road transport of the partner company – UNIONSPED SrL . The project implementation will allow to create about 25 work positions. Reference: “Do it yourself” stands for the abbreviation DIY in the designation of retail chains for home and garden, and translates as "do it yourself". This is a self-service supermarket chain, selling products with a conventional slogan "fix, improve, repair, build". Such retail chains are very popular in America and Europe and have already won over their audience in Russia.
