Ways to speed-up customs paperwork and reduce downtime of vehicles

At the video conference between representatives of the Voronezh Customs, Lipetsk Investment Development Agency and heads of SEZ Lipetsk tenants the parties discussed how to resolve difficulties which residents deal with during the registration of foreign goods.

As part of the experiment conducted by the Federal Customs Service of Russian Federation, from November 2, 2020, SEZ Lipetsk residents are required to submit declarations for commodities to the Central Customs Post (CED) of the Central Electronic Customs. But quiet often, the time for processing declarations is delayed indefinitely. Pavel Pochinkin, Head of the Department of Customs Procedures and Customs Control of the Voronezh Customs, said that the management of the Central Electronic Customs and the Central Customs Administration pays great attention to solving the problem and study all the possibilities in order to improve the situation with the participants of international trade.

Besides, in the nearest future, the Government will submit to the Russian State Duma amendments to the Federal Law No. 116 "On Special Economic Zones in the Russian Federation".

Due to expected changes, the system of data exchange between residents and the customs post should be considerably simplified.
