The investment forum gathered representatives of the regional administration departments, the CEO of the SEZ Lipetsk and residents implementing projects onsite the Yelets municipal district, heads of companies and representatives of small businesses.
The meeting was devoted to summing up the results of 2020 and to presentation of the investment projects to be launched in 2021.
"The main task of our forum is to find common interests between large enterprises-locomotives and small and medium-sized businesses. We must set up goals, that would determine the development not only of the district, but also the region as a whole" - opened the investment forum Oleg Semenikhin, head of the Yelets municipal district.
One of the main speakers of the event was Dmitry Dudarev, General Director of the SEZ Lipetsk. He spoke about recent achievements at the Yelets site of the special economic zone, and in a dialogue with the heads of resident companies identified the problem areas that need to be worked on in the near future.
"To date, 13 residents are making investment on the Yelets site of the SEZ Lipetsk. From among 7 residents who signed investment agreement with the Lipetsk region in 2020, 6 will be located at the Yelets site. Thanks to the new residents contribution, more than 250 jobs have been created, the amount of declared investments is about 20 billion rubles, and 5 billion rubles are already invested".
As of today, a lot of efforts are focused on the development of infrastructure. For operating residents it is already built and functioning, for those who are planning to build in the near future or have recently signed an agreement, a construction plan for 40 MW substation is about to be finished and in the final stage – technical conditions for additional volume of gas for 30 thousand hours.
"I cannot but mention another important aspect – personnel training for residents. I know that not only SEZ Lipetsk residents experience difficulties, but also a number of large companies of the region. We are informed about it and ready to "educate" specialists together with Universities and business. As a way to develop and put our talent into practice, it’s not necessary to leave for other regions or for the capital. Our task is to resolve the personnel issue and to help local citizens to provide a decent standard of living", - noted in his speech Dmitry Dudarev.
The investment forum is held in the Yelets municipal district for the 8th time. Every year, it summarizes the results of the past year and sets very ambitious plans for the current one. In addition, the forum platform allows to solve emerging issues non-stop because of the audience involved in the municipal investment activities.
