Bayer becomes a resident of the Lipetsk Special Industrial Economic Zone.
The concern will continue to work on commissioning its own factory for manufacturing plant protection products at the Yelets site of the Lipetsk SEZ. The plant will be focused mainly on the Russian market, but part of the products will be exported, including CIS countries.
Also Bayer will be concentrated upon the products for the protection of crops, corn and sugar beets. This project will contribute to the development of the technological potential of the local agricultural industry and to creation of new high-tech jobs in the Lipetsk region. Bayer is a long-term and reliable partner for the Russian agricultural market, so the localization of production is a strategically important step towards mutually beneficial cooperation and access to Bayer high-tech products.
