On 5 December 2018, Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, held talks with Orlando Napoli, President of Fondital S.p.a, and handed him an official document certifying that the company’s new plant manufacturing radiators and heating boilers was commissioned officially.

The Lipetsk SEZ Management Company provides Lipetsk SEZ tenants with services for preventive maintenance and repair of fire safety systems.

On 20 November 2018 the Expert Council of the Lipetsk Industrial Special Economic Zone (the Lipetsk SEZ) held a meeting chaired by Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, to discuss business plans of investors intending to obtain the status of a SEZ tenant.

On 14 November 2018, the Lipetsk SEZ hosted Business Rights Protection As a Foundation for the Regional Growth, the second regional open forum chaired by Konstantin Kozhevnikov, Prosecutor of the Lipetsk Region.

The Lipetsk SEZ Management Company won several Global Free Zones of the Year awards. The global rating of fDi Magazine, a service from the Financial Times, gives assessment of the world’s special economic zones.

Workers of the Lipetsk SEZ volunteered to pick up litter and plant trees on the SEZ territory on their day off. As usually, employees of the Management Company planted 200 seedlings of rowan trees and maples.

On 25 September 2018, Schlumberger inaugurated a new plant to set up production of components for electric submersible pumps in the Lipetsk SEZ.

Lipetsk Special Economic Zone becomes the first SEZ in Russia to complete the infrastructural development of one of its sites

On 4 August 2018, Lamb Weston Belaya Dacha went ahead with the processing of this season’s potato crop. Every day the plant receives 600 tons of potato grown in the Lipetsk, Astrakhan and Bryansk Regions and Stavropol Krai.

An automatic grid control and monitoring system was commissioned in the Lipetsk SEZ in order to improve management of the utilities and quality of maintenance services offered to SEZ tenants.

Doka GmbH based in Amstetten, Austria, starts construction of a new plant in Russia. With this project Doka plans to help Russia unlock its enormous potential for housing and commercial construction. The new production facility will be located in the Lipetsk SEZ (400 km south-east of Moscow), which offers the necessary infrastructure for investment projects.

The official inauguration of the new steel cord production line in Bekaert Lipetsk took place today in the presence of H.E. Mr Jean-Arthur Régibeau, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Russia, Mr Korolev Oleg Petrovic, Governor of the Lipetsk region, a delegation of our customers and suppliers, and Mr Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Bekaert.
