Igor Artamonov held a videoconference meeting with Vittorio Torrembini, who represents the interests of potential residents of the Lipetsk special economic zone. Three Italian companies have announced their readiness to apply for inclusion in the number of new residents. The companies operate in the fields of mechanical engineering, woodworking, and food processing. The total investment volume is estimated at more than 1.5 billion rubles. Two investors plan to localize production on the Gryazinsky site of the special economic zone on an area of a total of 8 hectares, one on the Eletsky site on a plot of 4.5 hectares. It is planned that more than 120 people will be employed at the enterprises. For reference: Italian companies became the first residents who chose the Lipetsk SEZ as a production site. To date, there are 4 registered factories with Italian capital (SEST-LUVE LLC, ALU-PRO LLC, FENZI LLC, FONDITAL LLC) with a total investment of 3.2 billion rubles. More than 400 workplaces were created. Italian companies actively supported the region at the beginning of the pandemic, making donations to the "Fund for Support of Social Projects and Improvement of the city of Lipetsk". The funds were spent on the purchase of medical supplies and equipment for the most affected residents from COVID-19.
