Visit of SEZ Lipetsk by representatives of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce

Sergey Kurbatov, deputy head of the Lipetsk region administration, opened the official part of the business mission of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK Russland), during which the German entrepreneurs were shown the region's investment opportunities.

 

"The Lipetsk region has a good investment potential and offers favorable conditions for doing business. We are interested in cooperation with companies that are ready to implement a variety of projects," said the head of the region Igor Artamonov.

 

"The main task is to acquaint German guests with the investment opportunities of the region and the infrastructure of the special economic zone. If we talk about European business, it is high technology and a very responsible attitude to employees. The Lipetsk region has everything for German entrepreneurs to get ready locations with a full range of infrastructure, high-class engineering services, construction and design competencies, as well as full investment support from the entry point. There is no end point of this support, because the regional team stays with the investor all the way through his project," said Sergey Kurbatov.

 

Cooperation and interaction between the business communities of Russia and Germany were discussed during the meeting. The Lipetsk region is a leader in growing vegetables indoors and producing sugar. Being the center of the agricultural macro-region, together with the Central Federal District, it provides 25 to 50% of Russia's food industry with main crops. The main potential of the region is agriculture, machine building, food processing, as well as metal-intensive products.

 

Four German companies operate in the SEZ "Lipetsk": "OBO Bettermann Production", "PK Razional" "Lanxess Lipetsk", "Viessmann Lipetsk". "Seed plant KWS" launches the production of seed processing, LLC "Bayer Elets Production" carries out project work on the creation of plant protection products. German companies have already invested over 180 million euros in the creation of modern production facilities, more than 600 jobs have been created at the enterprises.

 

"We have known about the Lipetsk site for a long time. German companies are pleased with the results of their work here. We are interested in the developed infrastructure and the convenient location, which will help us to be closer to our customers," said Björne Drexler, Deputy General Director of EkoNivaTekhnika-Holding LLC.

 

The program also included a visiting meeting of the Committee on Agrarian and Food Industry with companies from the region, where a report on the committee's work for 2021 was presented and plans for 2022 were voiced. The participants of the meeting discussed the new law on seed production, agricultural machine building, staffing in agriculture.
