The new customs post subdivision was opened at the initiative and with the support of the Lipetsk region administration. Its opening was timed to coincide with the five-year anniversary of the Elets site, celebrated this year.
"Creating a comfortable administrative environment for the residents of the special economic zone "Lipetsk" is an important goal in our work with investors", – said the head of the region Igor Artamonov.
After the opening of the customs post division, residents of the Elets area will be able to get customs clearance of the imported equipment directly on the SEZ territory without losing tax preferences.
"It is very important. This year the tax benefit for our partners amounted to 600 million rubles. In many areas our neighbors do not have a separate customs office. I must admit, it was not easy for us to agree upon the issue with the federal agency. Therefore, I thank residents for their patience, and my colleagues for their excellent work", – said Sergey Kurbatov, deputy head of the region, responsible for the investment, economic and trade development.
The Elets site of SEZ "Lipetsk" was opened in 2016. It occupies a territory of 1,273.8 hectares. To date, the following residents have placed their production facilities at the Elets site: "Seed plant KWS", "Syngenta Production", "Chance Enterprise", "Bayer Elets Production", "August Logistics", "Logistics Service Center", "Eletskeepagro", "ASK", "Aneva".
