The Lipetsk SEZ Management Company won several Global Free Zones of the Year awards. The global rating of fDi Magazine, a service from the Financial Times, gives assessment of the world’s special economic zones.

Workers of the Lipetsk SEZ volunteered to pick up litter and plant trees on the SEZ territory on their day off. As usually, employees of the Management Company planted 200 seedlings of rowan trees and maples.

On 25 September 2018, Schlumberger inaugurated a new plant to set up production of components for electric submersible pumps in the Lipetsk SEZ.

Lipetsk Special Economic Zone becomes the first SEZ in Russia to complete the infrastructural development of one of its sites

On 4 August 2018, Lamb Weston Belaya Dacha went ahead with the processing of this season’s potato crop. Every day the plant receives 600 tons of potato grown in the Lipetsk, Astrakhan and Bryansk Regions and Stavropol Krai.

An automatic grid control and monitoring system was commissioned in the Lipetsk SEZ in order to improve management of the utilities and quality of maintenance services offered to SEZ tenants.

Doka GmbH based in Amstetten, Austria, starts construction of a new plant in Russia. With this project Doka plans to help Russia unlock its enormous potential for housing and commercial construction. The new production facility will be located in the Lipetsk SEZ (400 km south-east of Moscow), which offers the necessary infrastructure for investment projects.

The official inauguration of the new steel cord production line in Bekaert Lipetsk took place today in the presence of H.E. Mr Jean-Arthur Régibeau, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Russia, Mr Korolev Oleg Petrovic, Governor of the Lipetsk region, a delegation of our customers and suppliers, and Mr Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Bekaert.

On 23 May 2018, the Supervisory Board and the Expert Council of the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone held a meeting chaired by Oleg Korolyov, Governor of the Lipetsk Region. The parties discussed and approved business plans of five potential investors and amended the agreements made earlier with two operating tenants.

Environmental safety was again discussed at Yokohama’s car tire factory located in the Lipetsk SEZ. This time, however, words were backed up with actions. Yokohama organized a traditional environmental event held as part of the Green Wave global campaign on 22 May 2018, the date proclaimed by the United Nations as the International Day for Biological Diversity.

KEMIN, a global manufacturer of feed additives, is celebrating a birthday of its factory opened in the Lipetsk SEZ on 26 April 2017 and congratulates it on achieving target output of additives, feed safety and animal solutions and performance.

On 26 April 2018, a meeting of the Committee for the Localization of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce chaired by Gerfried Laurin was held in the special economic zone Lipetsk (hereinafter referred to as the Lipetsk SEZ). The representatives of Astron Buildings, Lamilux, Fuchs Oil Russia, Drees and Sommer Project Management and Building Technologies, Kaiser + Craft and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Russian Federation were present.
